Meet the Cabrito
Most exotic hunts put you in a standard ranch truck or on foot from the jump. At Divided Find, the Cabrito Elevated Exotic Hunt is built around a purpose-built hunting vehicle from Ultimate Top Drives — a custom Founders Edition.
- Quiet electric drive so you’re not announcing yourself across the pasture
- Patented articulating cab that raises for elevated spotting and shooting
- Drive with the cab up or down — most guests hunt from the raised position; we can also spot elevated and stalk on foot
- Extremely limited availability nationwide while early production deliveries are still rolling out
You’re not paying for a gimmick. You’re hunting axis, blackbuck, oryx, sheep, and other plains-game species that usually require a passport.
Show up. Hunt. Decide on the animal when you’re here.
A Cabrito trip is a real 2-night stay, not a half-day drop-in. You fly into San Angelo (SJT), we get you to the ranch, and you settle into lodging with meals handled. You hunt with a guide in the Cabrito across a permanent exotics herd that lives on this ranch — not animals staged for a weekend.
You don’t have to pick a five-figure trophy over the phone before you’ve seen the land. Get on the ranch, see what’s there, and decide with a guide beside you.
The Cabrito Elevated Exotic Hunt Experience — $1,140 per hunter to start
What you pay to book:
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Guide fee | $500 |
| 2 Nights lodging (double occupancy) | $640 |
| Total due up front | $1,140 / hunter |
How the guide fee works:
- If you harvest an animal: the $500 guide fee is applied to your trophy-fee balance. You pay the species price minus the $500 already paid.
- If you do not harvest: we keep the $500 for the guide’s time. Nothing further is owed on the animal.
Lodging nights are part of the trip whether you harvest or not. We do not guarantee a harvest or a specific species. It’s still hunting — animals move, conditions change, and you only pay a trophy fee when you take an animal you’re willing to take.
Standard exotic trophy pricing applies to whatever you harvest (see species list below). Final trophy pricing may be higher based on score, confirmed with your guide before harvest. A wounded animal that draws blood is treated as a harvest under our terms — we’ll spell that out clearly before you book.

How we hunt
2,500 acres. Permanent herd. Real ranch terrain.
Worried it’s a “shooting pen”? Fair question — and we’d rather answer it up front.
Divided Find Ranch is a 2,500-acre private ranch near San Angelo with a self-sustaining exotic herd that’s lived here for decades. We hunt safari-style and spot-and-stalk methods across real West Texas cover — and on Cabrito trips, the elevated cab gives you a vantage most ranch trucks can’t.
What we won’t tell you: that every hunt ends with a wall-hanger, or that the animals don’t use wind and cover. They do. That’s the point.
What we will tell you: you’ll have a guide, a rare hunting platform, lodging and meals on the ranch, and a clear price to get here without gambling a full trophy fee before you’ve set foot on the property.
The ranch is the trip
The Cabrito hunt is the headline. The lodge is why people come back.
On-site lodging, meals guests compare to fine dining (not “trough food”), gun ranges, fire pit, and a full destination ranch — not a motel down the road after a half-day hunt.
“Top notch facilities, property and staff. Whether you’re after hogs, whitetail or exotics, you won’t be disappointed. Food was excellent as well, not your average trough food.” — Brad LeCompte
“Bass knows his stuff about his exotics. It was thoroughly enjoyable to ride around and hear about all the amazing things they do at Divided Find.” — Andy Piepenbrok
“I did not expect the food to be so good, meaning I thought it would be lodge food but this was fine dining.” — Tim Heyroth
“If you ever thought about helicopter hog hunting or hunting exotics in Texas… Do it. One of the best trips we have ever taken.” — Amee Davis
Trophy fees (paid only if you harvest)
Published trophy prices. Availability varies. Management animals, when identified during your stay, may be offered at a different rate — never promised in advance.
| Species | Trophy fee |
|---|---|
| Texas Sheep (Dall, Corsican, Black Hawaiian, Painted Desert) | $3,350 |
| Blackbuck | $4,000 |
| Aoudad | $5,500 |
| Axis | $6,000 |
| Nilgai | $6,750 |
| Scimitar Horned Oryx | $7,000 |
| Fallow | $7,000 |
| Red Stag | $9,500 |
| Addax | $10,000 |
| Père David’s | $10,000 |
| Eland | $11,000 |
| Gemsbok | $11,000 |
| Wildebeest | $11,000 |
Example if you harvest an Axis on a Cabrito trip: Axis trophy $6,000 − $500 guide fee credit = $5,500 trophy balance, plus the $1,140 already paid for guide + lodging.
*Sika and Trans-Caspian Urial are off the menu during herd recovery.
*Final trophy pricing may be higher based on final score. Your guide will determine the cost previous to harvest.
FAQ
Is this a canned hunt?
We hunt a large private ranch with a permanent herd and real cover. The Cabrito gives you elevation and quiet approach — it doesn’t put an animal in your lap. Anyone promising a guaranteed trophy is selling something we won’t.
Do I pay for an animal before I arrive?
No. You pay $1,140 to get on the ranch (guide fee + 2 nights). Trophy fee is only owed if you harvest.
What if I don’t shoot?
If you don’t harvest, we keep the $500 guide fee; you don’t owe a trophy fee. Lodging is part of the trip either way.
What if I wound an animal?
Drawing blood / a hit is treated as a harvest. We’ll recover what we can. This is spelled out before you book — no surprises at the truck.
Can I choose my species ahead of time?
Yes, you can tell us what you’re hunting for, and we’ll put you on the right animals. Whether or not you can seal the deal is up to you. But you don’t have to decide ahead of time. Many guests decide after seeing the herd with a guide and add on additional species.
Where do we fly?
San Angelo Regional (SJT). Most out-of-state hunters use SJT; we handle airport pick-up and drop-off logistics when you book.
Do you guarantee a harvest?
No. It’s still hunting. We provide opportunity.
